GUIDING LIGHTS IN A DIGITAL AGE

By
Ms. Nitika
PRT (English)

In a world where screens glow and children scroll,
as digital messages travel faster than lights,
children wander through endless streams of reels, videos, lights and dreams.
Among the apps and online crowds,
where music and noises are loud,
you could only feel and see deals.
When there on the table, no meals.
You are working….me is busy…
Children career, childhood and health all in flames,
Let’s teach them to stay calm,
Let’s not rush them in the pressure of studies.
Let’s tell them what their picture should be.
Let them know the difference between reel and real.
Reel is fake, real is truth.
We all will know it’s worth,
Say no to phone, say no to lazzy,
Say yes to known, say yes to crazy,
Technology changes everyday,
But values are not going away.
Be kind, be polite, be humble.
It all will stay and never dies!!!!!!

The Importance of Practice in Mathematics

By
Ms. Heena
Maths Teacher

Mathematics is a subject that grows stronger with regular practice. As a Maths teacher, I have observed that students who engage in consistent problem-solving develop sharper thinking skills and a deeper understanding of concepts. Practice helps students move beyond memorisation and encourages them to apply logic, identify patterns, and choose the right method independently.

Just like a sport or a musical instrument, proficiency in Maths requires repeated effort. Each time a student solves a problem, he/ she strengthens the foundation and builds confidence. Regular practice also reduces fear and confusion, making even challenging topics easier to understand.

When students practise daily, they improve their speed, accuracy, and analytical skills. It prepares them not only for exams but also for real-life situations where logical thinking is essential. Therefore, to become truly skilled in Mathematics, consistent practice is the most reliable path to success.

MEDICINAL PLANTS: NATURE’S HEALING TREASURE

By
Ms. Mandeep
Science Teacher

Medicinal plants refer to species of the plant kingdom whose parts (such as flowers, leaves, roots, stems, fruits or seeds) are used or prepared as medicine to treat condition or diseases. Medicinal plants have been used for centuries to treat diseases and maintain good health. They are an important part of traditional medicine systems such as Ayurveda, Unani, and folk remedies. Even today, medicinal plants continue to play a vital role in modern healthcare.

Medicinal plants contain natural compounds that help prevent and cure illnesses. Plants like Tulsi, Neem, Aloe Vera, Turmeric, and Ginger are commonly found in Indian households and are known for their healing properties. Tulsi boosts immunity, Neem purifies blood, Aloe Vera helps in skin care, Turmeric acts as a natural antiseptic, and Ginger improves digestion.

One of the biggest advantages of medicinal plants is that they have fewer side effects when used properly. Many modern medicines are made from plant extracts. Life-saving drugs for heart disease, cancer, and infections have their origin in medicinal plants.

Medicinal plants also support rural livelihoods. Many farmers grow herbal plants, and the herbal industry provides employment opportunities. In addition, these plants are eco-friendly and help preserve biodiversity.

However, medicinal plants are under threat due to deforestation, pollution, and over-harvesting. It is important to conserve them by protecting forests, growing herbal gardens, and spreading awareness about their importance.

Some of the threatened and endangered plant species are: Saussaurea laapa,Picorrhiza kurroa,Ginkgo biloba,Swertia chirata etc

In conclusion, medicinal plants are a priceless gift of nature. Preserving and using them wisely can help improve human health and ensure a sustainable future.

Article- Where Math Turns into Magic

By
Ms. Priya
Maths Teacher

Mathematics does not live only in notebooks; it lives in our smiles, steps, and small decisions every day. It appears when a child counts raindrops on a window, shares a chocolate with a friend, or notices patterns in tiles and leaves. Long before numbers are written, math is already being felt.

In a truly creative classroom, mathematics becomes an experience. Numbers laugh, shapes dance, and questions lead the way. Learning happens through games, stories, hands-on activities, and real-life moments that make children pause and think, not panic.

Here, mistakes are not erased—they are explored. Every incorrect answer is a clue, every attempt a victory. Students learn that mathematics is not about memorizing steps, but about understanding ideas and trusting their own thinking.

When math is taught with imagination and patience, it does more than improve calculation skills. It builds confidence, curiosity, and courage to solve problems both inside and outside the classroom.

This is where math truly turns into magic—not because it is easy, but because it makes young minds believe that they can think, try, and succeed.

A Mother Teacher and Holistic Development

By
Ms. Shreya
Mother Teacher

A mother teacher sees students as more than learners; they are children who need care, guidance, and understanding. Teaching is not only about completing the syllabus, but about shaping confidence, character, and values.

A warm and supportive classroom allows children to express themselves freely, make mistakes, and learn without fear. Like a mother, a teacher observes each child’s needs, encourages effort, and corrects with patience and compassion. Every child is unique and deserves attention, respect, and belief.

Along with academics, equal importance is given to emotional well-being, moral values, creativity, and social skills. Through everyday interactions and activities, children learn kindness, responsibility, and self-discipline.

Above all, a mother teacher stands by students in both success and failure, nurturing them into confident learners and caring human beings prepared for life.

EDUCATORS AS EDUCATIONAL REFORMERS: AGENTS OF SOCIAL, ECONOMIC AND POLITICAL CHANGE

By
Ms. Yashasvi
Social Science Teacher

Education has continuously evolved since ancient times in response to changing social needs. From Socrates in Greece and Kautilya in ancient India, to thinkers like Humboldt, John Dewey, Kabir, Ramanujacharya, Savitribai Phule and Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, educators have acted as reformers who reshaped education and, through it, society. Their ideas influenced not only teaching–learning processes but also social equality, economic development and political awareness.

Introduction

Reforms in education lead to reforms in society. Improvements in health, economic opportunities, access to equality and equity, and awareness of rights and duties are closely linked to education. To meet changing times, educational policies and practices must evolve. In this process, educators play a vital role not merely as classroom teachers, but as visionaries who challenge existing systems and work toward social transformation.

Teachers as Reformers

Educators have often gone beyond textbooks and classrooms to bring systemic change. When education is used as a tool for empowerment, it becomes a powerful force for reform.

Kautilya (Chanakya) emphasized education for leadership and governance. He outlined four disciplines of knowledge—Anvikshiki, Trayi, Varta and Dandaniti and trained Chandragupta Maurya, laying the foundation of a strong and just state. This highlights the role of education in political and administrative reform.

Savitribai Phule used education as a weapon against social oppression. Along with Jyotirao Phule, she opened the first school for girls in Pune and later established several schools for girls, Dalits and marginalized communities. Her efforts promoted social equality.

John Dewey believed education should be experiential and connected to real life. His ideas of learning by doing transformed traditional teaching methods and promoted democratic values, preparing learners to actively participate in society.

Dr. B. R. Ambedkar viewed education as the key to social justice. Through his writings and advocacy, he emphasized education as a means to empower marginalized communities and ensure equality, liberty and dignity.

Paulo Freire, through his concept of critical pedagogy, encouraged learners to question oppression and become agents of change. His work showed how education could promote social and political consciousness.

Conclusion

Educators as reformers have played a crucial role in shaping societies across history. By challenging inequality, promoting critical thinking and adapting education to social needs, they have influenced social, economic and political change. Even today, educators continue to act as agents of transformation, proving that education remains one of the strongest tools for building a just, inclusive and progressive society.
